June 12, 2021, the Executive Committee of the Northeastern Jurisdiction Native American Ministries Committee joined with the NAIC's Call To Action stated in their Children's Advocacy Letter in response to the announcement in May 2021 that the remains of 215 Indigenous children had been found on the grounds of the Kamloops Indian Residential School in Ottawa Canada. Neal Christie in his position at The United Methodist Church General Board of Church & Society.
